Stone Temple Pilots
(1994)

This album is ear candy; a work of rock & roll genius. Dean Deleo’s use of intriguing chord voicings along with sweet but dirty guitar solos put him among the best rock guitarists in my mind. Dean’s brother Robert is his equal on bass. Great musicians with great songs combined with the skills of a brilliant producer like Brendan O’Brien result in a record that, like I said before, it’s ear candy. Listen to “Big Empty”

If Pink Floyd were ever crossed with Black Sabbath the result may have been something like this. From start to finish it flows like an album. This is my “Dark Side of the Moon.” Listen to “H”
