Riders..the development… - On The Big Black Bus

The Rider’s area at Kelli.com is really beginning to take shape. Below is a screen shot of the drop page, if you go to the site you can see Anatoly’s flash animation really make the scene come alive.

We have gone through many different approaches as to how we want to handle this part of the site. There are three main areas:

The Bus
This is where Rider’s will get a look at what life is really like behind the scenes, with Kelli’s blog and Rider only media such as video footage and photography, it’s going to be a true reflection of life on the Big Black Bus.

The Rider’s Cafe
The place for Rider’s to get to know each other and develop the community. We have just finished skinning the community forums, well, maybe not quite finished, going forward we have decided on full transparency - so that black background under the first big table will disappear!

Both the Bus and Cafe pages will have revolving image galleries and video - here’s a screen shot of the Bus drop page - the image gallery is already in although we’re still waiting for the video component. Now that the blogging software is installed Kelli can start to Blog - look out world!!

The Drivers Area
We recognize that the success of the Rider’s community is going to come down to the efforts of the fans themselves. There are going to be certain people who are able to and who wish to get more involved. We are christening those people “Drivers,” for obvious reasons. Starting off initially as a recruitment page, this area will expand to reflect the needs of those who really get behind the effort of supporting Kelli and the whole project.

With tomorrow being the 4th of July, it’s one Holiday this American Singer will certainly be observing. There will be no rehearsal this week although Kelli and Andrew will be together on Thursday for another writing session.
