My night with Willie

Just to see Willie Nelson walk on stage made my legs weak. What a man. He sang his heart out for two hours. Anyone who has ever seen the legend live knows the feeling: he smiles and the crowd yells, moves his hand and they yell, hell I was yelling too.

I looked around at the crowd, 3500 people, all ages, all dancing, all having the time of their lives. Then Willie introduced his son Lucas who was on guitar, wow what a player and a good singer. Willie’s sister Bobbie played her heart out on piano.  The best part of the night was  when Willie’s tour bus and my tour bus had a honk fest as he was leaving. Willie is doing something right..see you at the next show Willie…..

Kelli on MicControl

We love the Internets - particularly people on the Internets who love music – check out this manifesto from one of our Twitter friends: @MicControl.

“Mic Control is dedicated to promoting unheard and unsigned musicians as well as musicians who are signed by smaller indie labels. Technology has created an opportunity for musicians to get exposed to a larger group than ever before.

Mic Control is here to help musicians achieve maximum exposure, and to help music lovers find new and exciting music that they would otherwise miss out on.”

When we saw MicControl’s tweet earlier this week asking for new music - we directed him to Ride, (which is now at #12 on the Blues Rock charts on Garageband) – he or she (we’re not sure which!) must have liked what they heard because they took the time to write the following post about Kelli on MicControl.

Thank you MicControl, we wish you and your blog great success and a long and profitable future.
