Have just got off the phone from Heath and the templates are progressing. Have written up the pages for What Do You Want, Mamma, and Empty Eyes - Ride, Preacher’s Daughter and Big Black Bus have already been written, just not transferred into HTML. Looking to have over 40 pages of content up and inside the new templates by Sunday night. Waiting to hear back from the Media Player people - and then we can install the Audio on the site.

Instead of having a standard “Biography” for Kelli and the Band, we have taken the approach of looking at the musical influences that led to Kelli’s sound. With the Internet being able to quickly link a reader to more information on an artist or event and an audio reference, it makes the entire “information” more meaningful.

When you read about Kelli’s musical influences such as Dave Dudley, Jimmy Dean, and her love of twists and surprises, as well as the sheer irreverence of some of her early music like “Take this Job and Shove It” - by Johnny Paycheck, you won’t be surprised to hear the new song “Timbuktu”. With lyrics like:

Got myself a visit from the man at the IRS
“I’m taking everything, your house and your dress”
I said “Mister, come and take it if you can”
He didn’t see as I took up the frying pan
I started swinging with my own kitchen kung fu
Kicked his ass out
And sent him on the way to Timbuktu

You’re guaranteed a great fun time at the show!
