That’s the thing about this project - no matter what gets thrown at us - we ain’t slowing down or stopping for anything. If you get in our way, you’ll end up like this poor unfortunate Stop sign - courtesy of The Big Black Bus!
Yesterday was another terrific rehearsal; it was great to have Mike back in the room as we continued to work up the new material. Two steps to heaven is sounding amazing and we can’t wait to play it out live. However, the song that finally exploded into the room at the very end was Can’t.
Having been playing around with a really funky groove last week - the overall consensus was that it wasn’t going to fit in with the set - so what to do?
Well - just like everything else - a little bit of prayer never goes astray:
Jeff kneels in front of the board and asks for help…
Kelli throws in a little magic to spice it up a bit…
The guitar player stops to take everything on board..
The idea hits him - “Why don’t we use a Groove similar to “Why Can’t He be You?”"
So we did - and the song did indeed come to life. It sounds Amazing!!
More later…
- ..On The Road….
- Good News?
- Thanksgiving
- What a Super Busy Day…
- time to return home… but one quick stop at a wedding chappel

Kelli- this is why you have a driver. You drive the project, your driver drives the bus. STOP the project and STOP the bus are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!!!! Love ya.
PS I’m sure something like this (or worse) could have happened had we been able to get Peck’s boom truck on the road.
