Preacher’s Daughter (that was a tough one!!), Big Black Bus and Ride are in the bag. It was great to get the band back together again yesterday, felt as though we hadn’t been away - except of course the drummer has facial hair now - what can we say? - Apparently it helps him hit the low notes.
Ride sounds just amazing with three part harmonies under Kelli’s soaring chorus. The feel of the song is very “indigenous”, very old and “native”. With the bass holding down the root of the harmony it delivers a sound, almost a drone that would be instantly recognizable to the ancients; we hope they send us their good fortune!
