Kelli and I first met in 2000 when I was the keyboard player for Los Angeles based Scottish rock band Stirling Brig. I remember meeting her for the first time, she was the only person in the room who seemed to be having as good a time as I was. We come from fantastically different backgrounds and cultures but share an absolute passion and scary determination when it comes to music, we write together every week and I play keyboards in The ShadowMen.
This blog is written for anyone who wondered what it would be like to be a musician: to be in a rock band, to tour America and the world, to play in front of thousands of people, to just do it.
Content is a direct reflection of our daily lives and activities: songwriting, rehearsing the band, recording, audiences, people that you meet in strange places, etc. We use plenty of images, we think they look cool, we’ll post video and new audio as and when they become available. Frequency will reflect activity in the project - potentially daily when we’re touring - weekly when we’re not.
